Sally Hansen Nail Stickers Review

This blog is a review for the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Stickers.

The pattern I got is 150 Faux Real. It's a cheetah print on the tip of one side and the rest zebra. Depending on the shape of the nails and how long your nails are you could end up with cheetah and zebra or just zebra. I have just zebra.

These are made with real velvet fabric.

The directions are pretty much the same for any other nail stickers that I've seen...

Start with clean, dry nails, select the best fit sticker for each of your nails, peel the paper from the back and press firmly on the nail and smooth over. Then use a nail file to remove the excess sticker and apply a top coat along the edge to seal it.

To remove: soak nails in warm water for one minute and gently peel off.

These are different then the Essie brand that I tried. The review for those are also on my blog so check that out as well.

The first thing that is different is that the Essie Nail stickers came with a cuticle pusher and mini nail file and the Sally Hansen ones just came with the stickers. The other difference is the material. The Essie stickers were just normal sticker material while these Sally Hansen ones are made of velvet.

I love nail stickers and both of these brands are amazing. The only con I have is that the Sally Hansen velvet nail stickers collect everything. I have cats and I get cat hair on them. I get other little foreign objects on them like lint. I suggest washing your hands a little more often with these ones on. I put the top coat on the whole nail thinking that might help but it didn't. My nails still collect stuff. Also when it comes to the top coat on the velvet nail stickers, it makes them look a little weird almost like they are wet.

Regardless of the cons I still love the Sally Hansen nail stickers. I would like to try other types besides the velvet ones.  These were $1 at Dollar Tree so I would definitely repurchase the same ones. I would even pay a couple more bucks but for the velvet ones I won't buy them for the normal price at another store. I've seen then at my local drug store for $11. I wouldn't pay that much for the velvet type but I would lay that for the Essie ones or non velvet Sally ones. They are really worth it especially if you don't have the time to let your nails dry or if you're in a hurry. I've used the nail stickers and then took a shower soon after and they were fine. Also the Essie Nail Stickers lasted for a good 2 weeks before they started coming off and I wore them for 3 weeks before I removed them so you definitely get good use of them. I haven't had the Sally Hansen ones on that long so I don't know the wear on them but I'll keep you posted.

That's my review for the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Stickers. Let me know if you have used them and what other brands you have used and if you like them.

Vera Bradley Haul

I love Vera Bradley and it's been a while since I have placed an order. I wanted to get a new purse and wallet and Vera never disappoints.

Most people will get a bag with the matching wallet but I always find that I have a hard time picking patterns so I just end up getting different ones most of the time.

I fell in love with the new pattern Parisian Paisley but already have a darker color bag as well as two blue bags so I wanted to go with a different color pattern for my purse.

The purse that I got is the Carryall Crossbody in the pattern Pink Swirls. This was $72 I believe but it was on sale for $50.40. On top of that all sale items were 20% off if you bought one sale item so I ended up spending $40.32. The strap is an adjustable one so you can use it short as a shoulder bag or longer as a crossbody bag. There are two pockets on the inside, two pockets on the front of the bag and there is a zippered pocket on the back of the bag.

The wallet that I got is the Trifold Wallet in the pattern Parisian Paisley. It closes magnetically which is something that I've never had with any of my other wallets. It's a trifold so when it opens there are three sections. One side has a bunch of slots for cards and two side pockets. The middle has a side pocket, a few more card slots and a clear slot for an ID or photo. The other side has a clear slot for an ID or photo as well. There is also a zippered pocket in the bag for change or whatever else you want to put in there.

I love Vera Bradley. The bags are all so cute and the patterns are so colorful and fun. They are really good quality. I bought my first bag about six or seven years ago and still use it so much and there isn't any signs of wear. They are incredible. Definitely check out the website and get one or two!!!

January IPSY Unbagging

Today's blog is the January Unbagging for IPSY. I am not sure how much longer I am going to keep this subscription. I have just been getting too many products that I won't use so It just doesn't make sense to me to keep getting them. I think I'm going to give it one more month and see what happens. But anyway this is what I got in the January IPSY bag.

The bag itself is really cute. I am currently using it for my makeup bag that I keep in my purse. It's like an Andy Warhol art piece. There are multiple faces with different color hair, lips, glasses, etc. The back of the bag is just a plain royal blue.

In the bag I got The Balm Mr. White (now) eyeliner pencil in Jac. It's a gold color and not really something I see myself wearing too often. I also got a smudge brush from Skin.  This was ok but also not really something I will use much. The next thing in the bag is and OFRA Universal Eyebrow pencil. I was excited to get this because I have been wanting to get into doing brow stuff but this just didn't work for me at all. Then I got a Hikari Cream Pigment in Mink. It's a metallic gold color and very pretty. I don't use eyeshadow all that often but this is definitely up my color ally so I can't wait to try this out. The last and final thing in my January bag I'd by far the best product I got this month and the only thing that I will actually use on a regular basis. It's the Lasting Smiles Organic Lip Balm in Peppermint Creme. Every purchase of this lip balm goes to help fund cleft surgeries for children. I think that is such a great idea.

So for the most part this month was disappointing in the IPSY area but I'm going to give it one more month before I move on and try something new.

What did you get in your Glam Bag?

2016 Reading Challenge

This blog is going to be different then any others that I have posted. I decided to do the 2016 Reading Challenge after coming across it on Facebook.

The photo below is the list of the categories for the books you need to read. I know this list says 2015 but the 2016 list was too blurry to post and this is the exact same list for this year. There are 49 categories listed but in total you will need to read 51 books in 2016 because one of the categories is a trilogy.

I will be posting updates as I go along I just don't know how often.

I think this is an amazing opportunity to read more books if you don't already. I love to read and do it quite often but I tend to stick to the same types of books. This challenge gives me the opportunity to read books that I normally wouldn't chose for myself.

Let me know in the comments or on my Instagram post of you are doing the challenge. Maybe we can help each other with titles or just to stay on track. I hope you join me!

Glam Glow Flashmud Brightening Treatment Mask Review

Today's blog is a review for the Glam Glow Flashmud Brightening Mask Treatment.

To use this mask you apply it to your dry face in circular motions to pre-exfoliate. You leave it on for 20 minutes and then wash off with water. It says to use high SPF sunscreen to maintain results.

This mask claims these 5 things... brighten, radiance, luminous, even tone, correct.

It contains White Birch Leaf and delivers natural Betulin, Betulinic Acid and Ellagic Acid to improve and balance skin tone.

It says to use it 3 days in a row for improved results and then 2 to 3 times a week for maintained results. Results will be lost during direct or extended sun exposure.

The full size is $69. I got a .5oz sample in an IPSY bag that I am using to try it out.

As for my review... First off I want to say that if you have sensitive skin, this might not be the best mask for you. I have extremely sensitive skin and after using this my face was very red for a while. The redness did go down and I didn't have any breaks out or rashes so that was good. This may or may not happen to everyone with sensitive skin but this is how my skin reacted to it so I just want to make that clear. That is really the only complaint that I have which really isn't about the mask itself just my skins reaction to it. I love the texture of the mask. It's very exfoliating and you can see the leaves in the mask when you apply it to your face. I've never used a mask like that and I thought it was amazing. The smell isn't too strong but it's also not an extremely well smelling mask either which is fine with me. Other then the redness, my skin was so smooth after using the Glam Glow Flashmud Brightening Mask. I could really tell the difference. After the redness wore off I applied some of my Simple Rich Moisturizer and it just slid on.

I would recommend this product to anyone that wants to try out a new face mask or a new brand. If you have sensitive skin I would still say give it a chance if you want to. I did and although I had redness, that went away and I had no other reactions. As for the price, I'm not planning on buying it anytime soon. I just think that it's too much for a mask when I can get one that works just as well for me for a lot less and I can get alot more product. If you have the extra money to spend and want to then definitely go ahead but I would suggest trying to get a sample and try it out first just so that you're not spending your money on something that may not work for you.

Winter Walmart Beauty Box Unboxing

Today's blog is the Winter Walmart Unboxing. For the most part I was very happy with this box. I think that for a Free box and only $5 shipping this box is so worth it because you really do get quite a few sample products and sometimes even full size products.

The first thing in the box is Dial 7 day moisturizing lotion. It's a 0.5 oz travel size. It doesnt have a scent on it but it smells kind of fruity. The second product is the Pure Silk Shaving Cream in Raspberry Mist. It's a 2.25 oz size. I have used this before and loved it so I was excited to see this in the box. The third product is Neutrogena Healthy Skin Boosters Facial Cleanser with White tea and Vitamin E. It's a 0.5 oz tube. This is the third time in a Walmart box that i have gotten this. I really like it but was a little disappointed that it wasn't a new product. The fourth product is the nspa by Nirvana Spa Real Fruit Goodness Exotucally Creamy Coconut Rich Body Butter. It's a 1.7 oz tube. It smells like coconuts and it's not thick like you would think for a body butter. It just feels like a lotion and i like that. The fifth product is the Ken Paves You Are Beautiful Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner. They come in foil packets and it says that it's for fine hair and that it adds fullness and body and weightlessly hydrates. The sixth producr in the box is Pantene Pro-V Hairspray. It's a 4 extra strong hold and it's a 1.0 oz travel size. The seventh product is Goody Slide Proof Hair Ties. There are 8 of them. I was really excited to see these in the box. I'm always out for trying new hair ties that aren't damaging to my hair so we will see how these work. The eigth and last thing in the box is the Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Correcting Cream Moisturizer. It came in one of the one time use paper packets.

I am excited to try the Dial Lotion, Coconut Body Butter, Shampoo and Conditioner and the Hair Ties. I love trying new products. I liked getting the Shaving Cream. It's good to get a product that you know you love once in a while. The Hairspray isn't bad either. I was a little disappointed to get the face cleanser again and the one time cream isn't really going to let me know if it works so I wasn't too happy about that.

That's what I got in my Winter Walmart Beauty Box. I hope you enjoyed it and I definitely recommend it. It's a really good box especially for being free.

Essie Nail Stickers Review

Today's blog is a review for the Essie Nail Polish Stickers. I have been hearing alot about them and finally got some for Christmas so I decided to give them a try. Let me just say, they are amazing. I love painting my nails and do it quite frequently so I didn't think I was going to be a fan of the stickers but they are my new obsession. They are so cute and surprisingly easy to use.

The nail stickers I tried are the Essie Sleek Stick UV Cured in the style A To Zebra. I also love that the nail stickers have names as well and Essie doesn't disappoint with their cute names!

These are so simple to use. First make sure your nails are clean. Use some nail polish remover on each nail (even if you're not removing polish) then push back cuticles with a cuticle stick and then wash your hands with soap and water. The second thing you want to do is chose the sticker that best fits each of your nails. (I'm double jointed so my fingers are a little oddly shaped and with that so are my nails but they fit on my nails almost perfectly and you can't even tell that they are not a perfect fit) The third thing you want to do is apply the sticker to the nail while. Put some pressure on it and get any bubbles out and then fold the excess sticker over your natural nail. The fourth and final step is to use a nail file and file downwards to remove the excess sticker. You can also apply a top coat if you like to seal the sticker.

The package says that the nail stickers are long lasting. I cannot confirm this because I just started using them but I can get them at my local dollar tree so if they aren't long lasting then it's not much money wasted at all.

I do really like these and would recommend them to everyone. They would also be good for people that don't have alot of time to their nails because they don't take long at all. This is my first time using them and I got them done in probably 5 minutes from start to finish. The best part is you don't need a base coat or to do two or three coats.

So that's my review for the Essie Nail stickers. I am looking forward to buying more designs and trying out different brands. Hopefully you will see a nail sticker haul soon!
