Collective Haul

I decided that todays Blog is going to be a collective haul. I have bought this stuff over the last couple of months and over several shopping trips but never got enough that I wanted to do a post about so here it is all in one Blog...

I got my hair cut last month and the stylist recommended some Tea Tree shampoo for my hair because my scalp is so dry and she recommended an Olive Oil leave in conditioner to help keep my hair healthy.

I bought the Olive Oil leave in conditioner at the hair salon because I wasn't sure where else I could find it. It costs $9 which I didn't think was too unreasonable. I bought the Australian Tea Tree shampoo at Walmart for $5. I also needed some conditioner so I bought the Herbal Essences Color Me Happy conditioner for color treated hair.

I finally picked up one of the Baby Lips Dr. Rescue lip balms. The one I got is Soothing Sorbet. I got it from Rite Aid for about $3. That same day I also went to my local liquidation center and picked up these Ardell Brow Perfection Stencils for $1.

I am obsessed with Paris and hope to one day visit. I picked these up at Micheal's Craft Store. They were both $1. The first thing is actually a small gift box but I got it to put my earrings in. The second thing is a little notebook. I got this to keep track of the Blogs that I want to do and also to have my monthly favorites all in one place so that I don't have to search all of my Blogs to make sure that I don't have a repeat favorite.

During another trip to the drug store, I picked up a small bottle of Acetone nail polish because I was out. I also picked up two Acetone free nail polish remover pads. One is in the scent grape and the other is strawberry. I thought they would be fun to try and they were only $1.

The last few things that I picked up were nail polish. I got two of the new Wet N Wild Wild Shine polishes in Putting On Airs and Dreamy Poppy. I also got two of the Revlon scented nail polishes in Wintermint and African Tea Rose.

So that's my Blog haul. I hope you enjoyed it and I can't wait to try the products out that I haven't yet. Thanks for reading :)

Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Dream Dupes

I wanted Mermaid's Dream by Deborah Lippmann for so long but didn't want to spend that much on one bottle of nail polish. When Sephora came out with their Summer Stash (I think that's what it was called) a while back the nail polish was in the set so I said why not? It was like buying a couple products and getting the rest for free so I thought it was a good deal. I finally had the nail polish I wanted and I got other products to try out as well and didn't pay all that much more.

Over the last few months I have come across some other nail polishes that resemble Mermaid's Dream and for a much cheaper price so I decided to share them with you.

This one is the Deborah Lippmann original version of Mermaid's Dream. $20 at Sephora.

This is Tips & Toes by Nicole. It doesn't have a name on it. This was 3 for $5 at A.C. Moore.

This is Wintermint by Revlon. I got it on sale for $2 at Rite Aid but I have seen them for a little over $3 at Walmart.

These are all three of them together. They look almost identical to each other. The only difference is the formula. The Revlon and Deborah Lippmann ones are a great formula. Not too thick or watery. The Tips & Toes one is a little watery but if I put on 3 coats it is fine. I have also put on a coat of white and then two coats of the Tips & Toes and that worked great as well.

So if you are looking for Mermaid's Dream but you don't want to spend the $20, these other two are amazing dupes and who doesn't like to save money?!!!

Revlon Nail Polish Review

Hey Guys!

Here is blog four of five of my top five product brands. This is the first review of two on nail polish brands. This blog is a review of the Revlon nail polish brand.

I love Revlon polishes. There are so many shades to choose from. I love the names of the polishes. The polishes themselves are very good quality. The formula is great and they are very long lasting. They look great with a shiny or matte top coat.

Below are just five of my favorites based on the polish names. They are listed left to right.

Raven Red, Fearless, Dreamer, Rebel Graffiti, Chameleon.

I also really love the Revlon Perfumerie Scented Nail Polishes. The one I included was Apricot Nectar. When the polish dries it really does smell good which was surprising to me because I have tried scented nail polishes before and it didn't smell. I figured if it doesn't smell it's still a pretty color and I loved the name, but it really DOES smell good when it has dried.

That's my Revlon Nail Polish review. I recommend them to everyone. They just have such a wide variety of shades. They have lights, pastels, darks, brights, glitters, scented, gel. They are also fairly inexpensive at Walmart and sometimes the drugstore if they are having a good sale.

E.L.F. Products Review

Todays blog is the third of five reviews on my top five brands. The first three are makeup and the last two are nail polish. I think I forgot to mention in the other two posts that I was doing a five part series. Sorry :) Today is my review on E.L.F. products.

I love E.L.F. Products because they are really good quality and very inexpensive. You can order online on the eyeslipsface website as well as the shopmissa website and you can also find the brand in Dollar Tree and I have even seen them in Price Chopper! I am sure that you could probably get them some other places but those are the ones that I know for sure.

Daily Hydration Moisturizer - I have not tried this product out yet but I wanted to include it because it is part of their new skincare line and I am very excited to try it out when I finish up my current moisturizer.

Custom Compact ~ Wheat, Moondust, Pink Ice, Pink Ice. I love neutral shadows and my favorite one in Pink Ice, which is why I put two in this palate. These are very pigmented and last a long time. I put it on in the morning, go to work, come home about 9 hours later and remove it with cleansing wipes and I still take off all of the product.

Mineral Mist ~ I got this for FREE in a special they were having and I love it. I spray it on my face in the morning before I leave and I feel refreshed and cool.

Zit Zapper ~ I like to use this when I have a few little pimples here and there on my face and I normally see a difference in size the next morning.

Baked Eyeshadow ~ Toasted. I wanted to try a baked eyeshadow and this one did not disappoint. It is so pigmented and pretty on the lid. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to try a baked eyeshadow but is on a budget or even to those who just want to try a new baked eyeshadow.

Mineral Lip Tint ~ Cherry. I love the E.L.F. lip tints. They are great if you don't feel like wearing lipstick but you still want your lips to have a little color.

Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick ~ In The Nude. I love the jumbo lip gloss sticks. They give just enough color on the days that I don't feel like wearing lipstick but I don't want to wear just a clear gloss. They are not drying and they smell so good.

Contour Brush ~ Eyeshadow is the only makeup I wear that I need to use a brush for. Although this is a contour brush I love it for applying my eyeshadow. This is my favorite brush and I use it more than the actual eyeshadow brush.

So that's my review on E.L.F. products. I hope you enjoyed it and I gave you ideas on products to buy and try out. They are so inexpensive, in most cases $1 to $3, that if you buy it, try it and don't like it, you haven't wasted much money at all and I am sure you could find someone who would like it.

First Aid Beauty Products Review

Todays blog is a review of my favorite First Aid Beauty Products. FAB Products are not made with harsh chemicals, fragrances or any other known allergens so it's good for sensitive skin which is why I love these products so much.

Ultra Repair Cream ~ I use this when I have extremely dry patches of skin especially my knees, elbows and feet. I also use it a lot during the winter when I get chapped and chaffed skin. It feels amazing on the skin and works great.

Ultra Repair Lip Therapy ~ I love this! I use this every time my lips are dry and chapped. I love the tingly sensation when it's on my lips. It also smells really good.

Face Cleanser ~ I change my facial cleanser every time I finish one up and this is by far one of my favorite cleansers after the Simple foaming cleanser.

Facial Radiance Pads ~ I use these a few times a week before I moisturize. I love the way they feel on my skin. They are so cool and refreshing and they don't bother my sensitive skin at all. I recommend all of these products.

That's my review of my favorite Simple Skincare products. I hope you enjoyed it. Feel free to leave comments telling me what your favorite FAB products are and why you are loving them. Thanks for reading :)

Simple Products Review

Hey Guys!

Todays blog is going to be a review of some of my favorite Simple products. I love Simple Skincare because it is kind to skin and 100% clean and fresh. I have extremely sensitive skin so it's great to have a skincare line that is make specifically for sensitive skin. I have tried numerous products from Simple Skincare and love them all. The three products below are my favorites.

Simple Foaming Cleanser ~ I love this stuff! It removes my waterproof makeup without me having to use anything else. It is a foam so it also lasts forever. I have been using this every day since at least November and I still have a little more than a quarter left. The products can be pricey depending on your budget but it is skincare and if you have sensitive skin it is worth it especially the foaming cleanser because it lasts so long you definitely get your moneys worth.

Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturizer ~ I love this because it is so light on my skin. The formula isn't too thick or too watery. I don't feel like I have anything on my face when I use this and it doesn't have a perfume smell which I really like. It also makes my face feel so smooth and hydrated.

Simple Eye Make Up Remover Pads ~ I like these for the days when I take my mascara off way before I shower. These work great and they take my waterproof mascara off with just a few rubs.

I have also tried the Simple Face Scrub and the Simple Cleansing Wipes. I love the wipes for when I just want to clean my face really quick. The facial scrub I also liked but I didn't like the smell. It has this weird smell when I used it in the shower. I don't know if that is what it's suppose to smell like or if I just got a bad batch but it's not something that I would use all the time when there are other products from Simple that I prefer to use more.

That's my review on Simple Skincare Products. I hope you enjoyed and definitely go out and buy some Simple Products if you haven't already. They are amazing!

Olay VA-VA-VIVID Cleansing System Review

Todays blog is going to be a review of the Olay Fresh Effects VA-VA-VIVID Powered Contour Cleansing System.

I got this for $5.99 at my local liquidation center. I have been wanting to try a cleansing system like this but wasn't sure how it would be on my skin (it's very sensitive) so I decided to try something that wasn't so expensive to see how it would work with my skin.

First off for $5.99 you get the powered contour system and the trial size Olay Fresh Effects SHINE, SHINE GO AWAY Shine Minimizing Cleanser. This was the perfect deal for me!

Now for the review...

The way I use the VA-VA-VIVID is by first, getting my face wet as well as the brush head. Secondly I put about a dime size amount of the cleanser on the brush and push the button on the handle to power it up. Third I use small, slow, circular motions to cleanse my whole face. I love that it's triangular in shape because I feel like you can get more of your face and it seems like it goes around your nose a little better than a circular or oval one would. Last but not least, I rinse my face off.

To wash the brush head I just put a little bit of disinfecting soap on it and scrub it in gently with my hands and then rinse it off.

I am really loving this cleansing system. It has become part of my everyday skincare routine. I was using it a couple times a week but now I use it every single day. I have extremely sensitive and this is not rough at all. I haven't had any redness or breakouts since I started using it. My face feels cleaner and smoother after I use it. I have also noticed a difference in my skin since I have been using it. I don't think that I break out as much as I used to and I feel like my skin just looks healthier.

The cleanser that comes with it isn't too bad. I think it has a weird smell and I know it's crazy but I don't like that it's gray instead of white! When I am finished using it I am going to try it with a different cleanser to see if there is a difference. Maybe it's the cleanser and not the cleansing system that is making my face better. I will keep you posted on that one.

To sum this review up. I would recommend it to everyone, all skin types, all budgets. If you are looking to try a powered cleaning system but you don't want to spend a bunch of money you can get this on Amazon for about $9 the last I checked and it is worth it. If you have sensitive skin, I promise this will be perfect for you. This is just an overall great product and I am very happy that I tried it out. I may not even buy a different cleansing system that is how good this product is!

I hope you liked the review and definitely go try it out if you would like to, you won't be sorry.

Thanks for reading :)

March Favorites!

Here are the products that I loved in March...

SKIN:

I finished up my Eucerin moisturizer that I had been using and I went back to the Simple replenishing rich moisturizer. This is my favorite moisturizer as of right now. I love that its not too thick and not too watery. It is gentle on my face and doesn't have a perfume smell.

I bought this cleansing system because I have been wanting to try one but I didn't want to go out and spend a bunch of money on something I'm not going to like or that will be rough on my skin. This is the Olay Fresh Effects VA-VA-VIVID Powered Contour Cleansing System. I love it. I will have more about it in an upcoming blog review so be sure to look out for that!

I have also been liking this e.l.f. Mineral Mist. I spray it on in the morning before I walk out the door and it gives me this replenished, cool feeling on my face and it just makes me feel better overall. I think it would also be amazing to use during the hot summer months when you're all sweaty and feeling nasty. It will give you a cool and fresh feeling.

NAILS:

I have been absolutely loving this Revlon scented nail polish. I wore this for most of March and still have it on right now. It's so pretty and such a fun color for spring. It also really does smell good once it has dried. This one is the Apricot Nectar. I am totally getting some more of these!!!

I also used the China Glaze Dashboard Dreamer nail polish for the last week of February and a few days at the beginning of March. I also used this as an accent nail color with the Revlon one and they look amazing together.

SUBSCRIPTIONS:

I loved the Walmart Beauty Box for Spring 2015. I did a blog post on this so read that if you would like more information and to see what was inside.

CANDLES:

I have been burning the Bath & Body Works Strawberry Sorbet candle for the last three weeks. It's such a nice spring smell and it really does make the room smell like a strawberry field.

NETFLIX:

I have been loving Netflix every month and just kept forgetting to include it in my favorites. I have the streaming plan and love watching all the horror movies and new movies they add that I think I will like. I also really enjoy the television shows they have on there and I am extremely happy that they added Gilmore Girls and Friends. The one movie that I watched was Gimme Shelter with Vanessa Hudgens. It's about a homeless pregnant teenager who goes to her absent father for help and is turned away. I definitely cried a few time. It's such an amazing movie and I recommend it to everyone.

MOVIES:

I watched a few movies in March that I had been wanting to see. Divergent was such a good movie, I haven't read the books but I might have to so that I can see the differences and it's been my experience that the books are always better than the movies. Endless Love is a remake. I saw the original and thought it was good. I was a little nervous about watching the remake because in most cases I think they are crap but in this case I actually think the remake was better than the original and I also liked the ending a lot more. If I Stay was another amazing movie and definitely a tear jerker. Maleficent was a movie that I thought I wasn't going to like but it turned out to be a really good movie with a surprising backstory and ending. All of these movies I recommend you watch.

BOOKS

I am a huge book lover and enjoy my Kindle more than any other device in my life!!! Since getting a job I haven't been able to read as much as I would like to but in March I was able to finish the book Kiss The Dead by Laurell K. Hamilton. It's part of the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series. I started reading the series because it was about vampires, werewolves, zombies, all of the supernatural stuff that I love. They are amazing reads and I have a hard time putting them down. There are 22 books so far and I read the first 20 in about 3 weeks. Some books I read in one day. After the 6th book or so they become very inappropriate for younger readers so I definitely recommend getting a parents permission if you are under 18.

So those are my March favorites. I hope you got some ideas and I look forward to reading about all of your March favorites! Thanks for reading :)

WalMart Beauty Box Spring 2015

Here it is. The WalMart Beauty box for Spring 2015. Before I got my box in the mail, I watched some videos on YouTube to see what other people had gotten and a lot of them were unhappy with their box. I have to disagree. I thought for the most part the box was pretty good. Remember the box is FREE, you just pay $5 for shipping. You could also look at it like you're paying $5 for the box but either way it's still a good deal. The box comes out every season so basically every three months and you only have to pay $5. Ipsy and Birchbox are $10 a month and from watching those videos on YouTube a lot of the products I wouldn't use. Everyone of course has a right to their own opinion and everyone is different and feels different about certain things. It is just my personal opinion that this box was pretty good. So now let's see what was inside...

The first two things that I pulled out of the box were the Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Omega Repair and Moisture Shampoo and conditioner. It says it's fast drying for damaged, depleted hair with luxurious pearl and rich Omega Oil. These are 1.7 fl. oz. The bottles are really good sizes for samples. They are good for travel and you get enough so that when you use it you can tell if it will work or not. I could get probably a good seven days use out of these bottles. The only complaint I have is that they don't smell very good.

The next two things were the Dove Go Fresh Revitalize Body Wash. The scent is Mandarin and Tiare Flower and the bottle is 1.8 f. oz. Also the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Boosters Facial Cleanser with White Tea and Vitamin E. It says it boosts softness, evenness and radiance. It won't over dry skin. It's 0.5 fl. oz. The sizes of these samples are also really good. They are good for travel and lost long enough to see a difference if there is going to be one. I like these size samples because you can really try the product before you buy a full size.

I also got a perfume sample. This one is the Lady GAGA Fame Black Liquid perfume. I like the packaging if this perfume sample. I can spray it like a normal perfume and if I like it I can buy a bigger bottle if I want to and put this one in my purse. By the way I think this scent is amazing.

This is by far my favorite product in the Spring box. It's the Rimmel London Lash Accelerator Mascara with AVEC Grow-lash Complex. It's in the color Black Noir. It says lashes will look up to 117% longer in 30 days. I don't know if it will work to lengthen my lashes but I love Mascara and was really excited to see this product in the box. This is also a full size product and sells for about $8 from what I have seen so this alone is worth the box in my opinion. I am looking forward to using this product and when I have used it for 30 days I will do a full review blog and let everyone know if it worked for me or not.

Then we got three foil packet samples. I got the Nivea in shower Body Lotion. It's good for very dry skin and has Almond Oil. It says it's nourishing 24 hour + moisture. You also get a $1 off coupon to buy a 13.5 oz. Next is a sample for Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation. This one is in 115 Ivory. It comes in 16 shades. There is also a $2 off Fit Me or Maybelline New York face product. The last sample is the Garnier Ultra-Lift Miracle Sleeping Cream. It's Anti-age + Anti-fatigue Night Cream. This one also comes with a $2 off coupon for any Garnier Moisturizer. I don't really mind getting these types of samples but it is hard to know if it is something that I want to buy a full size of because sometimes they are only one time uses so I don't know if they are going to be worth the money or not. Considering the number of deluxe samples and the full size product I consider these to just be little extra samples.

The last things in the box were three coupons for some products to try out. They included $2 off one Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation that isn't a travel or trial size, $2 off any L'Oreal Paris Cosmetic product purchase, and the last is $3 off any one Schwarzkoptz Color Ultime or Keratin Color Hair product.

That's it for the WalMart Spring 2015 Beauty Box. I hope you liked it and definitely think about getting it if you still can. I can't wait until the Summer box! Thanks for reading :)
