IPSY Unbagging

Todays blog is my IPSY unbagging for August 2015. The theme for this month is prep school.

The bag this month has that faux leather feel so it's a good material if something leaks in your bag because it is easier to wipe off and it probably keeps things inside pretty dry as well. The bag has a black and white design with a pink zipper.

These are the products that I got this month...

Here is a close up and description of all of the products.

Pencil Me In Natural Formula Eye Accent Pencil in Boysenberry. I don't like using eye liner pencils on the rare occasion that I use eye liner so I am not going to open and swatch this because I am putting it up for a future giveaway.

Skone Cosmetics Luxe Doubler Eye & Lip Pencil in Wine. Again I won't use this so I am also going to put this up as well.

Beauty Without Cruelty Premium Aromatherapy Leave-In Conditioner. I am actually very excited about this. I have been using up my current leave-in conditioner as part of my project pan and I have been looking for a new one to try. I will do a review on it possibly when I have used it up some.

Hikari Lip Gloss in Salsa. This isn't a color I wear everyday but I plan to go as Taylor Swift to a Halloween party this year and this red will be perfect.

Eco-Beauty Good Night. Night Cream by La Fresh Group. This says you will have smoother and plumper skin and it's super hydrating. I can't use just anything on my face but this says that it's highly natural and I smelled it and there isn't a strong smell so I am going to give it a try.

Here is a swatch of the Hikari Lip Gloss in Salsa.

This bag was ok in my opinion. I love the leave-in conditioner and I am excited to try the night cream. I am a little disappointed in the eye liner pencil and the eye and lip pencil. I won't use them and put on my survey that I don't wear them. I kind of wish that they would come up with a better system of sending products to people. I read that they pick the products at random for each person based on their survey but then I get sent items that I say I don't use. For the most part I am happy with the bag and the products in it.

Love With Food Unboxing

I decided to go ahead and try the Love With Food monthly subscription box. It is  There are three different boxes; Tasting, Deluxe and Gluten Free. They start at $7.99 and go up from there. The great thing about this box is that for every box you get they donate a meal to feed a hungry child. Check out their website at lovewithfood.com for more info.

The August box theme was Road Trip...

This is what I got in my August box...

1. Apple Hard Candy from Goorganic. I don't like apples or anything apple flavored so I gave these away but they said they were really good and they would recommend them to everyone who likes apples.
2. Popcorn by 479 Degrees. This is the Asiago, Parmesan and Cheddar flavor. This was so good. I think I finished this within an hour of opening it. I could not put it down, it doesn't taste like something that is good for you.

3. Roasted Broad Beans by Enlightened. This is the Garlic and Onion flavor. I have never tried anything like these before. I was a bit nervous about these but OMG they were so amazing. You really got the garlic and onion taste.

4. Peanut Butter by Wild Friends. This was the Chocolate Coconut flavor. I don't like coconut at all but I decided to try this anyway and I am so glad I did. You can't taste the coconut at all, it just tastes like chocolate peanut butter.

5. Popped Salted Caramel Kind Healthy Grains Bar. I have had Kind bars before but this was a new one that I haven't tried. I love these for a small snack between meals or just to throw in my purse for a quick and healthy snack in the go.

6. Rosemary Croccantini by La Panzanella. This crackers were a bit dry and plain on their own but I tried them with the peanut butter and they were really very good. I think they would also be good with some cheese.

7. Fruity Pie. I got the Apricot and Almonds. I don't care for apricots but this was actually pretty good. I kind of wish I had gotten one other than apricot to see how it compares with a flavor that I like.

8. Lemon Rooibos Iced Herbal Tea by Stash. This is an iced tea mix that you can just pour into a glass of water or into a water bottle and drink it on the go. This was a very good tasting tea and I would love to try more from this brand.

They also sent some other goodies...

$1 off one box of any flavor Enlightened Ice Cream, an advertisement for the Kind Bars and a $40 gift card toward a purchase from hellofresh.com.

I have not checked out the website yet but I am going to when I have the time to see what it's all about.

Also, the snacks that you are going to get in the box will be Organic, Vegan, Non-GMO or Gluten Free. The pamphlet you get will tell you what you have in your box and which of them are vegan, organic, etc.

This is the first box I received and I would definitely rate this a 9 out of 10 stars. I can't wait until next months box. I recommend everyone to check the website out and subscribe if its something you think you might like.

Nail Polish Storage

This is how I store my nail polish.

I store all of my nail polish and tools in a two level plastic bin that I got from amazon for $25. I keep it between my two make up storage drawers. On top I keep my cotton rounds and nail polish remover.

In the top level I keep all of my top and base coats as well as my tools and cuticle care. I also keep my Sally Hansen sponge nail polish remover. I keep my most used nail polishes in the top. I keep the polishes by brand.

In the bottom layer I keep my nail polish color wheels. I keep this polish by brand also and this polish is what I use to paint only my toe nails and then other shades that I don't use as much as the others.

That is how I store my nail polish.

Project 10 Pan Update

This is my Project 10 Pan Update. It has been exactly a month since I started. I have finished two products and replaced them with two more. I am well on my way to finishing several more. Check it out!

Products I am still working on...

1. Especially Escada Delicate Notes Perfume sample ~ I haven't used any of this because I have been wearing the Sweet Pea body spray.

2. Boscia Make Up Break Up Cleansing Oil ~ I have used this about once a week but I have one more month left to the project pan so I am going to use it a couple times a week.

3. Olive Oil Leave In Conditioner ~ I use this daily and will have no problem getting this finished in the next month.

4. Bath & Body Works Sweet Pea Body Spray (travel size) ~ I have been wearing this twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. I love the smell and should probably be done with it in a week.

5. e.l.f. Mineral Mist ~ I use this daily as well and it seems like I don't have much left but its hard to tell in the bottle that it's in.

6. Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Sleep Lotion ~ I have only used this once of twice in the last month. This is the hardest product to use up for me. I used to like it but it just makes my hands feel so greasy after I just want to use it up.

7. Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara ~ I will be done this soon. Its old and getting dried up but it feels like its pretty much gone.

8. Maybelline Great Lash Mascara ~ I use this over top of the Essence Mascara and on my bottom lashes because the wand is small. This one is also pretty close to being finished.

Products I have finished and replacements...

9. Bath & Body Works Strawberry Sorbet 3 Wick Candle ~ I finished this up pretty quickly. I love the smell. When I am burning it you can smell it in several rooms and I love that in a candle. It's got a sweet smell so its not too strong.

10. First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads ~ I finished these up as well. I liked them for a while but then they kind of had a weird smell. I don't know if they went bad or if that's just how they are but I am glad to be finished with them so that I can start using other products.

I replaced those two finished products with two perfume samples. I figured I will be done with the Sweet Pea one in probably a week and then the three samples with probably take me a week a piece if that because they don't take too long to go through.

That is my Project 10 Pan Update. Next up is the finale and I am so excited to see how many more products I can get through. Make sure to let me know in the comments or on Instagram if you have a Project Pan. I love watching and reading them from everyone.

Make Up Storage

In today's blog I am sharing with you how I store my make up. I love watching YouTube videos and reading blogs about how people store their make up collections. I use two five drawer bins that I got from The Container Store for I believe $13. I keep them on either side of my nail polish storage, which you will see in a few blogs.

This is the one on the left. On top I keep all of my EOS lip balms in a clear vase that I got from The Christmas Tree Shop for $4.

The first drawer holds my Chap Stick and Nivea products as well as my Burt's Bees Lip Balm.

The second drawer has all of my Baby Lips and Rimmel London and Essence Lip Balms that are like Baby Lips.

The third drawer are all of my NYX Butter Glosses.

The Fourth drawer are all of my nude and brownish color lip glosses.

The fifth drawer has all of my pink lip glosses.

This is the second drawer set that I have. I keep this one on the left of my nail polish storage. I keep a little vase with seashells in it on top of this one. I got both the vase and seashells at my local Dollar Tree.

This first drawer is all of my mascaras. This is also where I keep my brow gel and makeup remover pen.

The second drawer has my lip sticks in the back and all of my clear lip glosses in the front.

The third drawer is a little empty right now but this is where I keep my lip exfoliator, my Vaseline lip therapy and my First Aid Beauty Lip Therapy. I also have a random lip balm in here as well.

The fourth drawer has all of my single eye shadows as well as my eye shadow primer, tweezers, eye liner, makeup setting spray and FAB under eye therapy.

The fifth and final drawer in my collection has all of my palettes and my eye shadow brushes.

That's my make up storage. I hope you liked it and I look forward to possibly seeing and reading about some of yours.

Olay Fresh Effects Spot Zinger Review

Today's blog is a product review for the Olay Fresh Effects Spot Zinger.

The package says it is a 2-in-1 Salicylic Acid Acne Spot Treatment. Its used to treat acne obviously. You are suppose to clean your skin before applying and then massage it into the affected areas. It says to start with one application daily and then gradually increase to two or three if needed or as directed by a doctor.

I use the Spot Zinger once a day, a night after I have showered and I am ready for bed. I put it on breakouts that I am having and usually within two days the breakouts are either gone or have reduce in size and redness depending on how bad my breakout is at that particular time.

There isn't a strong smell which I like and it doesn't dry out my skin or cause any redness. So far I am loving how it is working for my breakouts but I am lucky enough that I don't have severe acne just the occasional breakouts so I cannot speak for someone who has a more severe case.

I do recommend this product to anyone who has light to medium breakouts and to people who want to try a spot treatment. I believe I paid $4 at WalMart for it. Also if you are someone with severe breakouts I think I would recommend talking to your doctor to see if this product is the best for you because if you are using anything else you don't want to mix things if you don't know how your skin will respond and you don't want to make the problem worse.

July Favorites!

Here are all the products that I have been loving the month of July...

HAIR/BODY:

I realized that I have never included the Head & Shoulders Almond Oil shampoo in a favorites blog yet and it is my favorite shampoo that I use every time I wash my hair. Sometimes I will try out a different dry scalp shampoo but I always go back to this one. I have also been loving this Softsoap Citrus Splash & Berry Fusion Body Wash. It smells like a blue slushy and I want one so bad!

SKIN/LIPS:

I have been using the Olay Fresh Effects Spot Zinger for a little over a month I think and I love it. I'm not going to say anything else about it because I have a product review blog coming up soon. I have also been using the Nivea A Kiss Of Moisture lip balm every night before I go to bed and it keeps my lips hydrated during the hot nights. I can still feel it on my lips in the morning.

NAILS:

I have been loving Essie nail polish this month. I got these new shades and have been wearing them constantly. The one on the left is In The Cab-ana and the one on the right is Blossom Dandy (my favorite Essie shade so far). I have been topping them off with the Essie No Chips Ahead Top Coat.

CANDLES:

I have been burning Cinnamon Sugared Donut from Bath & Body Works and already went through one of the small mason jar candles. It smells just like a cinnamon sugared donut its unreal.

DRINKS:

I love tea but my all time favorite is the Celestial Seasonings English Breakfast Black Tea. I have been drinking at least a cup of this a day and I love to put a little bit of the French Vanilla liquid creamer in it too.

FOOD:

I tried this Ice Cream for the first time this month and I think I have gone through 3 pints by myself. LOL.

I have also been loving the Almond M & M'S. These are my go to late night snacks.

NETFLIX:

I watched a couple of T.V. series on Netflix in July. Young And Hungry about a young woman who gets a job as a private chef for a rich young man. I also watched The Fall about a grief counselor who turns into a serial killer at night. Both shows were amazing and I can't wait until the new seasons come out. I think I will have to watch them on T.V. this time though.

MOVIES:

I finally watched Lords Of Salem and House Of 1000 Corpses. I love Rob Zombie and his stuff is always amazing. I didn't realize until watching it that House Of 1000 Corpses is basically a prequel to The Devil's Rejects so that was cool. I love Captain Spaulding!

ARTISTS:

I have always loved Aslyn. She hasn't got the fan base that I think she deserves. I haven't listened to her in a while but I recently found her again and have been listening to her non stop. My favorite songs are Wally, Be The Girl, Golden and Just Enough. Definitely check her out if you don't know who she is.

OTHER:

I got my first IPSY bag in July. I really enjoyed the things I got for the most part. I have a blog post on that if you are interested. I am looking forward to seeing what I get in August and id IPSY is still a favorite of mine.

Those are my July favorites. I hope you enjoyed and definitely try these things if you haven't already.

WalMart Beauty Box Summer 2015

Here is what I got in the Summer WalMart Beauty Box...

I got another Neutrogena Healthy Skin Boosters Face Cleanser. I do like this cleanser and its 0.5 oz. It works well with my skin and it smells good. The size is also good and I get multiple uses out of it. The only thing negative about it is that I also go the same one in my Spring box. It would have been nice to get something else even if it was a different cleanser. I also got the Aveeno lotion that has sunscreen in it. It says it protects and hydrates and it's SPF 30. It's a 0.5 oz sample but you would be able to get multiple uses if its just going on your face. It also smells good but doesn't seem to have too much fragrance in it. I will definitely be trying this. You also get a $2 off coupon.

I got a perfume sample of One Direction's You & I. It smells alright but nothing that I would buy a full size of. I also wish I would have gotten something different. I think I have gotten a perfume sample every box. I don't really care for the sample perfumes. I'd rather get a rollerball or a nail polish or something like that.

I got this sample of the Simple Micellar Water. I wanted to try this but I am a little disappointed that this is a one time use and not a deluxe sample size but they also give you a $2 off coupon so that's always nice.

\

I am saving the best for last... I got TWO FULL SIZE products. I got the Vaseline Intensive Care Healing Serum Radiance Restore with Pure Cocoa Butter. It says it moisturizes to repair and restore radiance to dry, dull skin and it's non-greasy formula. It smells just like Cocoa Butter and it is 6.8 oz. I can not wait to try this out and see if it works for me. I will be doing a product review on this in the coming weeks so stay tuned for that. The last product that I got is the Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer in the shade 300 Out Of This World. I am pretty sure this is a full size as well because if it's not then it would be one big lip product.

This is a swatch of Out Of This World. It's a really pretty pink. I think it's very wearable and definitely a shade that I will wear so I can't wait to try this out either.

I am very pleased with the Summer 2015 WalMart Beauty Box. I love that I got two full size products. I think this month was by far the best, the only thing I wish is that I got a different cleanser or different product since I got the Neutrogena one the last time. This is definitely an 8 out of 10 box in my opinion and so worth the $5 shipping charge. The box is FREE!

Thanks for reading :)

XOXO Lola

P.S. Definitely check out this box if you haven't already, If you have let me know in the comments below or on my Instagram what you got and how you like the box. To sign up go to walmart.com/beautybox

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish Review

This is a product review for the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish...

First off, I have two of the shades in Hydro Electric and Combustealable. I also have the Miracle Gel top coat.

The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel nail polish formula is amazing and the staying power is great. It lasts a long time without chipping. I think I had it on for 8 days before I noticed any chipping at all. I usually paint my nails once a week but I wanted to really try this polish out. Its been almost 3 weeks since I painted them only about a quarter of the polish has actually chipped. I love the colors in the line and the names are so cute. I am a sucker for nail polish names HAHA! It comes off fairly easy using non acetone nail polish remover as well.

The only negative thing I have to say about the polish is the price. I paid $10 per bottle and I don't see a difference between the Miracle Gel and any other nail polish that I have used. For example I can save two bucks and get an Essie polish that looks just as good. I have paid 4 dollars for Essie on sale as well. It's a personal preference whether you spend the two extra dollars or go with a cheaper brand or buy the Miracle Gel for $10. I don't think that I will buy anymore colors unless they are having a good sale on them because I have other polishes that are just as nice and last quite a while and costs a lot less as well.

I hope this review was helpful.
