Lip Care Collection

Today's Blog post is the start of a series of Blogs focusing on my makeup collection. I have decided to do it within multiple Blog posts because one post would ne way too long. I do not by any means have a huge makeup collection but I do have more than just a makeup bag full. The first part of the seires is going to focus on what I am going to call Lip Care. This includes EOS, Baby Lips, Burt's Bees, Nivea, Chapstick, Essence Kiss, Care, Love Balm, as well as some odds and ends.

This is my EOS collection. I am going to list the flavors from left to right, top to bottom. Blueberry Acai, Stawberry Sorbet, Summer Fruit, Honeysuckle Honeydew, Strawberry Kiwi, Pomegranate Raspberry, Lemon Drop, Sweet Mint, Orange Blossom & Pink Grapefruit. I do like these lip balms. I think they smell so good and in my opinion they are moisturizing for a little while but they don't last that long on my lips. I keep one in my purse to use when I need some moisture but overall I don't tend to reach for these all the time.

These are the four original Maybelline Baby Lips that I have. Cherry Me, Peach Kiss, Quenched & Pink Punch. I love the original Baby Lips. they smell good, they are moisturizing and if you want a little color without wearing lipstick or a tinted lip gloss, these are the way to go.

These are two of the Baby Lips from the Electro collection. Strike A Rose & Oh Orange. These ones in my opinion have more of a tint thank the original ones and come in more vibrant colors but they are still moisturizing and hydrate your lips just as the origingals do.

These are two of the Baby Lips from the Crystal collection. Pink Quartz & Crystal Kiss. These lip balms have a shimmer to them. I don't like these as much as the others because of the shimmer but It's subtle and not in your face shimmer so I think they are good for wearing something different even if you are not that fond of shimmer.

I will also mention that Baby Lips also has a medicated collection but I do not own any right now.

This is a set of Essence lip balms called Kiss, Care, Love. I have Fruit Crush, Fruit Fruit Fruity & Carribean Sunrise. I think these are a dupe for the Maybelline Baby Lips. Well I am not positive that they are suppose to be true dupes but I think that these are a good alternative and they are a little bit cheaper. I got these on the Ulta website for I believe $1.99 and the Baby Lips can be almost $4 depending on where you get them. They are moisturizing and hydrating and have a tiny bit of color.

I also have two Nivea products. I have the A Kiss of Cherry lip balm and the Raspberry Rose Kiss lip butter. The lip balm gives you a pinkish tint to your lips while hydrating. The lip butter is a thicker consistency and makes your lips feel smooth and moisturized.

.

This is my chapstick collection. Fruit Punch, Cherry, Candy Cane & Pumpkin Pie. At the end is a Ulta lip balm in Sweet that I included here because the tubes are the same. The chapsticks are good for chapped lips obviously and especially in the winter time when your lips get more dry than usual. They come in all kinds of flavors and have special flavors around the holidays.

I love the Burt's Bees collection. I have only tried lip care but I am very interested in trying some of the other products as well. If anyone has tried any Burt's Bees products, let me know which ones and how you like them. I use these mostly on the occasions that I get a cold sore. I can usually feel one coming on and as soon as I do, I put this stuff on and it's gone in about three days. I swear by this stuff and would recommend it to everyone.

This is the last of my lip care. I have a Wet N Wild Raspberry lip balm. This I got because it was cheap at the drug store but I honestly wouldn't buy anymore. It doesnt smell that good and it tastes horrible. I know that it's not to eat but I have a habit of licking my lips alot and this just is not good at all. It's also a pretty big stick. The next thing is the Absolute New York You're The Balm lip balm in Grape. This reminds me a little of the Nivea lip butter but not as thick. It's very moisturizing and has a good smell. The last two things are what I consider lip treatments. The first is Vaseline Lip Therapy in the Original scent. This is good for dry and chapped lips. Its heavy and moisturizing and it just works great. I like the lip therapy rather than the plain vaseline because the lip therapy doesn't have the horrible smell and taste, it acts more like a lip balm. The last thing is a newer product in my collection but it has quickly became one of my favorites. It's the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Lip Therapy. I have very dry lips especially in the winter time and this stuff works great. I put it on and an hour later I can still feel it on my lips. The scent is good and it's so moisturizing. I highly recommend this product.

So that's my lip care collection. I hope you liked it and as always feel free to share with me your favorite lip care products as well. Thanks for reading :) Until next time....

I Love Nail Polish Tag!

What's Up Guys!

I wanted to do something different for today's Blog so I went on YouTube to get some ideas and found the I Love Nail Polish Tag videos. I wrote the questions down and made my choices and here they are...

Favorite Base Coat:     ORLY Bonder

This is a rubberized base coat. I've been using it for over a month and I love it. It makes my nail polish stay on longer and chip less than it did with other base coats.

Favorite Top Coat:     Essie Matte About You

I just recently bought this top coat from Ulta and I have only used it once but I am already in love with it. It's matte and makes your nail polish matte. I used a color that was kind of on the bright side and when I put this top coat on it instantly matified it and make it a more pale version of the color. This is definitely a good top coat of you are not in the mood for shiny polishes.

Top 3 Brands:     Revlon, NYC, Essie

I have quite a few brands of nail polish and I love them all but these three are the ones that I tend to reach for the most. They are also the ones that seem to last the longest on my nails as well.

Favorite Neutral Nail Polish:     Essie Cocktails & Coconuts

I love this nude polish. It's not a brown but it's not a cream, it's the perfect mixture of both. I love to wear this polish during any season it doesnt matter to me.

Pink Or Red:     Pink

I chose pink just because there are so many different shades of pink. There's light, pastel, medium, dark, bright, neon. There is just more to choose from but I do love my reds as well.

Glitter Or Matte:     Matte

I chose matte because I have more matte polishes than glitter but I do like glitter as well. I prefer to wear glitter as either an accent nail or on my toes mostly.

Go To Nail Polish At The Moment:     China Glaze

I just recieved my first China Glaze polishes so I am trying them out to see how I like them.

What's On Your Nails Now:     China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle

This is a really pretty bright minty green. I have the Essie Matte About You top coat on over it and it made it a pale mette mint green. It's so pretty on the nails. So far I am loving this polish as well as the top coat.

If You Had A Nail Polish Line, What Would It Be Called:     XOXO Lola

I am so bad at naming things but XOXO Lola is how I end all my Blog posts so I just chose that one. HAHA.

So that's my I Love Nail Polish Tag but actually it's an I Love Nail Polish Blog. Either way I hope you enjoyed it. Feel free to leave comments answering the questions as well or do a Blog yourself and let me know on Twitter, Instagram, or a comment on here so I can check it out. I'd love to see others choices.

Thanks for reading :)

ULTA Haul

Hey guys!
I made an online purchase on the Ulta wesbite a couple weeks ago because I had some gift cards from Christmas so I wanted to share what I picked out. I hope you all enjoy it.

I have been wanting to try China Glaze nail polish for a while now so when I saw that Ulta had this 6 piece travel sized road trip set I had to get it. I also saw the full size China Glaze bottle and fell in love with the color. I actually put the full size polish on my nails tonight. I haven't had it on long enough to give a full review but so far I am really liking the formula and the color is gorgeous.

The colors are listed left to right...
Boho Blues which is a bluish purple color.
Trip Of A Lime Time which is a lime green.
My Way Or The High Way which is a dark green bluish color.
Dashboard Dreamer which is a light blue.
Oinking Out The Window which is a light pink maybe a salmon.
I brake For Colour which is a bright pink.

The full size bottle is called Too Yacht To Handle and it's a mint green color but with a matte top coat it kind of looks like a neon pale green.

I have been looking for a new top coat and found this Essie Matte About You top coat. I love essie nail polish so I thought that I would give this one a try. I also like that it is a matte finish because that is something that I have never tried before. I am also wearing this today and I really do love the effect that it gives on top of the nail polish. I might have found my new favorite top coat!!!

Of course I can't do shopping without buying some mascara. This time I bought two :) The first one is the Maybelline Great Lash Real Impact. Then other one is the Essence I love extreme volume. They are both in black. I love the Maybelline Great Lash mascara so I thought I would give this one a try. I have the Essence I love extreme crazy volume mascara so I wanted to buy that one to add to my collection. I can't wait to try them both.

I also did some shopping for a future giveaway and while I was looking for items I bought some of the same for myself. I got the travel size Ulta body wash in Pink Petals and Water Blossom. Both smell so amazing.

I initially was looking for a replacement Burt's Bees Lip Balm tin because I am almost out of the one that I have. I love Burt's Bees products. While I was shopping for that I came across The Absolute New York You're The Balm lip balm so I picked that up as well. I am keeping the Grape for myself and I put up the Green Apple one for the giveaway because I don't care for apple scents. So look for a giveaway coming soon...

I also got the free samples. I had chosen the skin care one but got sent these fragrances instead. I am going to give the Eternity mens cologne to my boyfriend and put the My NY DKNY perfume into the givaway stuff.

So that is my Ulta Haul. I hope you liked the products that I got and that they gave you some ideas of things to buy for yourselves as well. As always leave comments for me about products that you guys enjoy and think that I should try.

Thanks for reading :)

This is what the makeup bag looks like. I think it's very cute and I am actually using this as my wallet for the moment.

These are all the products out of the bag to give you a closer look.

I also got this baggie of goodies for free. I can't remember exactly what it was called but it is all skin care products and It was free with a $25 order I believe.

Last but not least, I had 100 points so I was able to use those and pick something. I chose the Boscia luminizing black mask. So that's my Sephora Haul. I got some really good products for really amazing prices and I can't wait to try them out and do reviews for you guys. Until next time, Thanks for reading :)

Urban Outfitters Nail Polish Haul

Hey Guys!

Todays Blog is a short little Urban Outfitters nail polish haul. I recently found these polishes and fell in love with the two that I bought so I went back and bought four more! I may even have to add a few more to my collection!!!

I got two fall/winter colors. I really need more darker colors in my collection, my lights and pastels surpass my darks by more than half.

The two colors I chose were Midnight Rider which is the color on the left. The camera makes it look lighter than it actually is. In the bottle it looks like a deep blue gray but on the nails it looks more like a charcoal grey/light black. It is still a very pretty color either way and it's a perfect fall/winter shade. The second color is Cherry Grenadine. This polish is a deep burgendy color and on the nails thar's pretty much how it comes off as well. Very pretty color and also a perfect fall/winter polish.

The other two polishes I picked up are spring/summer colors. In this picture the two almost look the same but you can see more of a difference in the first picture that I posted. The color on the left is Left Bank and it's a pastel, very pretty green. The other polish is Pixie and it's a very gorgeous pastel blue. Both of these colors are going to make perfect spring colors. I like to wear lights and pastels in the spring and the brights and neon polishes in the summer.

So that was my Urban Outfitters nail polish haul. I hoped you enjoyed it. If you have not tried these Urban Outfitters polishes, I highly recommend that you go out and get some. They are $5 for 1 or 2 for $8. Very affordable and the formula is amazing. I have had no issues with fast chipping.

Thanks for reading :) Leave me ideas for future Blog posts and any suggestions for nail polish I should try or any other beauty products that you guys are loving these days!

Nail Polish Uses

Hey Guys!

Todays Blog post is a lot like the one I posted yesterday except today I want to talk about the different uses for nail polish. These are not the only uses but the ones that I found are probably the most used. Some of them I have used and the others I haven't.

Prevent jewelry tarnishing ~ Clear nail polish on the inside of fake or cheap rings stops them from tarnishing and turning your finger green. I have done this for a few rings that I bought because they were really pretty but cheap. It works very well.

Repairs (paint) ~ I have cats and they sometimes scratch the walls a little so I take a nail polish color that is very close to the color of my walls and use that to cover up the scratch marks. As long as the color is very similar you can't even tell the difference.

Cover up scuffs ~ This I'm thinking works the same way that the previous use works.

Color code objects ~ This is actually a really good idea. I love organization and this is a pretty clever way to separate things and something that I will probably try in the future.

Sealing envelopes ~ I have never tried this but I looked it up online and you basically just put a clear nail polish on the part of the envelope that folds over and it seals it if there isnt any sticky part or if the envelope is cheap or just doesn't stick. I usually use tape of stickers but I might want to try this.

Stops runs in hose ~ I do not wear hose but If you do and you get runs use some clear nail polish and it stops the runs in your hose.

I hope you enjoyed the post. Let me know if you have tried any of these and how they worked for you. Thanks for reading :)

Vaseline Uses

Hey Guys!

Today's Blog post is going to be a little bit different from the other Blog posts. Today I want to talk about the different uses for Vaseline. I am going to put them in two different paragraphs, the first being what I use it for and the other being other uses that I've heard worked. These are not the only uses for Vaseline but they are the ones that I find to be the most common. I hope you enjoy the Blog.

Things I use Vaseline for ~

Hands/Feet/Elbows/Knees ~ I have used vaseline a few times on my knees and elbows because they seem to be the places that my dry skin is the worst but I personally do prefer a dry skin lotion instead. I have used it once on my feet and hands to try it but I don't like the feel of it on my hands and it made my feet feel really greasy and I didn't like that either. Of course these are personal opinions and even though they do not work for me they may work for some of you.

Chaffing ~ I use vaseline for chaffing skin all the time in the winter when my legs get wind burned from being outside in the cold. I use it in the summer when I go to the beach and stupidly walk with wet clothes on (I swim with shorts and a shirt on) and forget to bring dry clothes. It works amazingly and It't the only thing I use for chaffing and wind burned skin.

Lips ~ I used vaseline on my lips occasionally but I didnt like the smell or taste so I stopped and then I found out that they came out with a vaseline lip therapy treatment. I tried that and I love it so I technically use vaseline on my lips by using the lip therapy. HAHA.

Hair Dye ~ I use vaseline on my hair line, neck & ears when I dye my hair because any hair dye that I get on my skin washes right off.

Other uses for vaseline ~

Bruises, cuts & scrapes
Teeth ~ To prevent lipstick from sticking to teeth/smiling
Eyelashes ~ To help them grow
Eyebrows ~ To tame
Exfoliant  Mix with sugar or sea salt
Nail polish caps ~ So the caps dont stick when nail polish gets on them
Hide split ends  Small amount on the ends of hair
Cuticles

I have not tried vaseline on any of these things but I am interested in trying the nail polish caps, eyelashes & eyebrows, the split ends & maybe the exfoliant. I will write Blog posts when I try them and let you know how they work. Also if anyone has tried vaseline for anything whether it was mentioned or not, let me know how they work.

As always feel free to leave comments and ideas for future Blog posts. Thanks for reading :)

Bath & Body Works Winter Semi Annual Sale Blog Haul

Hey Guys!

I went to the Bath & Body Works Semi Annual Sale a few days ago and thought I would share with you what I got.

Deep cleansing soap ~ Kitchen Lemon. The key notes are zesty lemon, sparkling citrus & italian bergamot. This smells just like lemon and I can't wait to put it in my bathroom.

Shower gel ~ Strawberry Sparkler. The key notes are wild strawberries, sparkling mandarin & pink jasmine. This smells like strawberries and is just so fruity I love it.

Both of these were $3

I have been wanting to try out a wallflower for a long time so when I was there I picked one up. I got the pink flower wallflower. It was not part of the sale but was only $4.50 anyway so not a bad deal at all. Then I got two scents to try...

'Tis The Season ~ The key notes are apples, cinnamon, cloves & green pine. This is one of my favorite holiday scents so I knew I would love it. It smells very similar to the Holiday scent as well.

Spiced Apple Toddy ~ The key notes are apple brandy, spiced plum, mulled cider & tart cranberry. This one smells so delicious and it's a really good fall scent.

Both of these were $3.

This is the final product plugged into my wall. I'm trying 'Tis the season. It smells amazing, smells like cinnamon & spice & everything you think of when you think of the holidays. I am looking forward to picking up some more fragrances in the coming months.

That's it for this short Blog Haul. I hope you enjoyed it and thanks for reading :)

As always leave comments and ideas.

December Favorites!

Hey Guys!

Todays Blog is about all of the products that I have really been loving all December long! I broke it up into sections so I didn't have to use so many pictures. Enjoy!

                                                                Make up/Skincare ~

(From Left to right)
Jergens ~ Shea Butter Deep Conditioning Moisturizer. I use this on my hands and it leaves them feeling smooth. I work with my hands 6 days a week and handle harsh chemicals so my hands get very dry and this lotion helps to keep them moisturized and healthy.

Eucerin ~ Skin Calming Daily Moisturizing Creme. This is a travel size that I got so that I could try out a new moisturizer. I usually use the Simple Rich Replenishing Moisturizer but wanted to venture out and also try new things. My face is very sensitive though so it's hard for me to find products that work for me. This moisturizer does not have scent and is perfect for my dry sensitive skin.

E.L.F. ~ Lip Exfoliator. I have been loving this lip exfoliator. I put it on my lips about 10 minutes before I take a shower at night and then wash it off when I get in. It's got s sweet sugary scent and it feels like sugar going on your lips. It is so soothing and I have really noticed a difference in the dryness of my lips during these cold weather months.

Maybelline ~ Great Lash Mascara. Very Black. I love this mascara. It is by far my favorite. There is no clumping. It gives me volume and length and makes my lashes so dark. This is definitely a product that I will keep repurchasing over and over again.

Essence ~ Lash & Brow Gel Mascara. This product I use every day. It keeps my brows in place all day long and makes them a little nit darker than usual. It gives me the perfect balance of taming my brows and darkening them slightly while at the same time not going overboard.

Hygiene/Misc. ~

(Left to right)
Simple ~ Foaming Cleanser. I put this in with hygiene because I use it in the shower to wash my face. I love the Simple brand because the products that I have tried have worked really well with my sensitive skin. It doesnt break me out and there is no overwhelming scent.

Secret ~ Clinical Strength Deoderant. I got this in the Fall Walmart Beauty box and I have been using it every day. I put it on in the morning before I go to work and I can still smell it on when I get home at night. This is a product that I woule definitely purchase for myself.

Bath & Body Works ~ Aromatherapy Sleep Pillow Mist. Lavender Vanilla. I use this every night. I spray a little on my pillow about 15 minutes before I go to sleep. I think it's suppose to calm you a little before bed which I defintely think it does. I seem to fall asleep better when I use this as opposed to the nights that I don't.

Nails ~

(Left to right)
O.P.I ~ Khloe Had A Little Lam-Lam. This is a deep green polish and perfect for around the holidays. The formula is great and long lasting.

NYC ~ Big Apple Red Creme. I love this red for the holidays as well as the fall & winter months. This nail polish is very cheap at my local drug store but its amazing quality and lasts pretty well for being so cheap.

NYC ~ Black Lace Creme. This is by far my favorite black nail polish so far. I love it and use it alot in the fall & winter months as well as sometimes in the spring & summer if I feel like having a dark color on my nails. It's never the wrong season for a good black polish!

Urban Outfitters ~ Champagne Toast ~ I used this on my nails for the New Year holiday and I love it. I am new to Urban Outfitters nail polish and only own two but I am obsessed and plan to buy a lot more of it in 2015!!!

ORLY Bonder ~ This isn't a polish but rather a rubberized base coat. I have been hearing so much about it on youtube that I had to try it for myself. I have used it the whole month of December and I am in love. BEST base coat I have used so far.

Holiday/Seasonal ~

(Left to right)
Fresh Sparkling Snow ~ This is a 3 wick candle from Bath & Body Works.  The key notes are melon & pear. I am in love with this scent this season. I am disappointed that I only bought one and I'm hoping that they come out with the scent again next year. It would also be nice if they added more products to the line.

Vanilla Bean Noel ~ I just recently got into this scent. I bought this travel size body mist either last year or the year before and never used it. I have been using it a lot this fall & winter and I've really been enjoying it.

Candy Cane Chapstick. This product is what it is. It's a candy cane flavored chapstick. I love it because when you put it on your lips you get that minty tingle on them.

Of course it's not the holidays without movies. I have picked the four that I have watched the most.

Home Alone 1 & 2 ~ You can't go wrong with these two movies. They are family friendly & so incredibly funny. These are the best movies from the franchise in my opinion.

Christmas Vacation ~ This is my favorite holiday movie of all time. I think I have watched it about five times in December. Hilarious & I love Chevy Chase.

Black Christmas ~ I love horror movies so I couldn't not add this movie to my December favorites. This is a horror christmas movie. It can't get any better than that!!!

Music ~

TAYLOR SWIFT 1989

This is the only music I have listened to bascially since the end of October. I didnt even take my Christmas music out becauseI have been completely obsessed with this album. Her best one yet! Some of my favorite songs are Blank Space, How You Get The Girl, & Wonderland. Go out and buy it if you haven't already!!!!!!! :)

That's it for my December 2014 favorites. I hope you enjoyed them and go out and try them if you haven't already. As always feel free to leave comments and ideas for future Blog posts.
